Trying to be a Patient Patient

I haven't been feeling 100% for the past few weeks and was actually admitted to my own unit Sunday after feeling some heart palpitations towards the end of my shift. It was such an eye-opener being the patient but thankfully, I was well taken care of by both my wonderful co-workers and my loving hubby. So far all of the tests has come back negative. I'm still waiting for one more test result and TRYING to be a patient patient. Being a self-proclaimed hyponchondriac and an RN fuels my anxiety and doesn't help the situation at all. I need to stop worrying, self-diagnosing myself and put everything into God's hands. My husband has been my ROCK through this difficult and scary time. I don't know what I'd do without him!!! He always knows what to say and do to make me feel safe and I love him so much. I'm enjoying my time now with my family and pray that everything will be ok. Hopefully, I'll be writing more happy blogs in the near future.

Jorge

OK, so I'm really blind. I mean REALLY! I noticed my eyesight going bad when I was in the 6th grade as I sat in Miss Carter's English class squinting at the dark green chalkboard. Ugg! I knew I should've listened to my mom when she would nag at me for watching "Days of Our Lives" too closely!

Fast forward to junior year in high school. I've always tried my best to avoid wearing those glasses cause I wanted to be somewhat cool. Anyway, Mrs. Pavao, my science teacher, was starting a new lesson: Sex Education. I wasn't wearing my eyeglasses as I entered the classroom after lunch. I noticed an object on the front counter and wanted to get a closer look cause I couldn't make out what it was. As I leaned closer and closer to the object, I realized, it was a model of the male genitalia looking right back at me! Oh my virgin eyes!!! I turned red and immediately sat down. Mrs. Pavao named the model "Jorge" as a reference point. I sat down in that classroom learning more about "Jorge" and other relevant issues as I put my eyeglasses back on.

Round 2!

Ding Ding Ding! Yes, my second attempt at this whole blogging thing. Let's see how long this one will last. Thanks for visiting and keeping me company!
